Increase of energy component in products and services costs becomes a critical factor affecting the via-bility of many municipal and industrial enterprises. In Ukraine energy consumption of products and ser-vices is 2,6 times as much as a world average level. It indicates the availability of a huge potential of in-creasing energy efficiency and competitiveness. Natural gas becomes not only expensive but also scares energy resource. The Western Europe countries passed through a number of energy crises and made considerable progress in awareness of new energy realities and making efficient decisions under the condition of permanent rise in prices of traditional energy resources or deficit thereof. A significant experience in this area has been gained in Russia, Belarus and other post-Soviet countries.
The purpose of the Conference is exchange of experience, establishing mutually beneficial contacts, discussing joint projects, programs, legislative initiatives and organizational and financial schemes to solve of the problems connected with increase energy efficiency at the industrial and municipal enterprises un-der the conditions of permanent rise in prices for energy carriers.
PROGRAMME
At the Conference key specialists from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, EU countries and also international financial organizations will appear.
It the Conference will take part leaders of public utility enterprises and municipalities, experts from fi-nancial organizations, scientists, specialists and representatives of business structures working in the area of increase of the energy efficiency and also representatives of government bodies responsible for the implementation of energy efficiency policy in Ukraine.
5-days program of the Conference will include:
• Plenary meeting dedicated to current situation and prospects of the development of energy saving.
• Section «Current situation and prospects of the development of municipal heat power sector».
• Section «Renewable and non-traditional energy sources. Building of the biofuel market».
• Section «Utilization of solid domestic waste. Energy production from waste».
• Section «Development of heat supply schemes for towns and population centers».
• Section «Thermomodernization of the buildings».
• Section «Energy efficiency of power technology units and systems».
• Round table «Activization of the energy management systems implementation at enterprises and organizations».
• Poster presentations of the energy efficient equipment, devices and technologies.
Program of the Conference will be placed on websites http://arnica-center.kiev.ua/, http://www.esco-ecosys.narod.ru/ a month before its beginning. The programs of previous conferences are placed on the same websites.
THEMES OF THE REPORTS
There will be reviewed legislative acts and initiatives, issues of carrying out energy audits, development of feasibility studies, upcoming schemes of the development of heat supply systems, creation of energy management systems, expansion of scales of renewable, non-traditional and local energy sources use, issues of termomodernization of the buildings, schemes of financing of energy efficiency projects, optimi-zation and management of heat supply systems, heat energy accumulation other current problems of energy efficiency.
WORKING LANGUAGES OF THE CONFERENCE
Russian, English. The reports will be translated.
REQUIREMENTS TO THE THESIS OF REPORTS
The texts of the reports and presentations will be placed on Web-sites and published on CD ROMs.
The thesis of the reports submitted to the conference should include:
• Name of the report;
• Names and address of all authors (company, phone, fax, e-mail) with indication of one author for correspondence;
• Purpose of the work;
• Results;
• Conclusions.
It is obligatory to submit thesis both in Russian and in English.
Dead-line for submitting thesis is May 21, 2010.
Size of thesis should not exceed 1 page of À4 format (1 page for Russian + 1 page for English text) with margins: head, foot and right - 2 cm, left - 3 cm (printed margin 1625.7 cm). For composition, please, use Times New Roman font (11 points) with a single line spacing.
THE PLACE OF HOLDING THE CONFERENCE
The International Forum will be held in the Sanatorium «Miskhor», Alupka Road 9, Koreiz-1, Big Yalta Sity. The site of holding the Forum, located at the southern coast of the Crimea, will allow its participations to combine efficient work with visiting cultural and historical places of interest.
Cost of participation in the Conference
To take part in the Conference, it is necessary to send the Registration Form and transfer a registration fee to the Organizing Committee for each participant of the Conference not later May 21, 2010.
